Macca's Picnic

Ciao,

Over the weekend we spent a lovely sisterly day at Fagen park in Galston with Imogen, Lucy, Tori and I. Imogen decided to take our new car for a spin and we ended up at the park with some healthy snacks that we picked up along the way!

We decided to take the opportunity to do a blog collaboration with Tia Cherie. We had a great time and enjoyed the sunshine as we caught up with each other. We hope to do it again sometime soon!

Such a lovely sunshiny day! As you can see we were really taking in the lovely natural feeling of the park with all natural, organic only foods! This has become a bit of a tradition every time we go for a picnic!

Lucy kindly took the photos, however she made us do all sorts of weird things, that almost lead to the loss of Imogens lovely bag in a pond! She almost ended up in the pond herself at one stage trying to demonstrate poses she wanted us to do.

I love this photo of all our bags on the hill! In order they are Sara's, Lucy's, Tori's and Imogen's.

I also love all our shoes on the hill, aren't they all so pretty?!

Tori and Imogen got sprung taking selfie photos, there were over 300 on my phone! Lucy was not impressed!

We were all wearing a differant shade of blue, what a fun coincidence which was lovely for all the photos! Imogen and Tori were even both wearing polka dots!

This photo reminds me of mean girls so much! I laugh every time!

The park has a variety of themes gardens, these two photos's were taken at the lovely Japanese one. We also visited the Mediterranean, North American and South American gardens.

Hope you enjoyed this post! We also took some photos of our outfits that will be posted soon, stay tuned
xx

Weekly round up #3

Hey everyone,

It's that time again for another weekly round up! This week has been super intense and we got very spoilt (which is never a bad thing)

O n e  -  S a r a

On Thursday I finally picked up my new car! Well, it's technically not mine for another two years, but I am counting down the hours, minutes and seconds till I can officially say, baby blue is mine! My mum got the Fiat Lounge, it's the car I'm going to learn to drive in. It's absolutely the cutest thing on the roads, fuel efficient and did I mention how cute it is!?

T w o  -  T o r i

On Friday night I headed over to my nonna's to watch Hitchcock. She's such a sweet woman. Always fussing about me and always telling me I need to eat more. Her cooking is so good! I hope that when I'm a Nonna, I'd be able to cook half as well as her.

T h r e e  -  S a r a

We made 1000 page views! We also made over our blog, it's pretty professional if you ask me! I'd just like to say a special thank you to my sister-in-law for giving up her time to take our photos and help us with the layout of our blog.

F o u r  -  T o r i
After much pushing from my mother, I finally ventured into Kmart to look for clothes. I was happily surprised. Not only was it incredibly affordable, but great quality. I bought a great jumper for $20. I saw a similar one in sports girl for $90! Gok would be so proud of me.

F i v e  -  S a r a

On Saturday, my wonderful sister-in-law, Imogen came over and we went to Fagan park for a Macca's picnic. While we were there we decided to do a blog collaboration, and this was the result! It's always great to catch up with family over a healthy meal. We'll be posting more about our lovely day in the sunshine very soon!

Eurovision! What a great way to spend a Saturday night. It's always good for a laugh or two. This year I am supporting Hungary this year. He sounded a bit like Bruno Mars who I am a big fan of. Go Hungary!! Also, did you see that kiss? Good on them if that's the way she swings.

See you next weeks Ladies & Gents!

Weakly Roundup #2

Hey Everyone!
It is the end of the weak again and we thought we would do another round-up

O N E - S A R A

On Thursday night we got Thai food and decided to watch life of Pi. It is such a great movie and I was on the edge of tears! It had me thinking about it for days since. You should definitely watch it if you haven't all ready.

T W O - T O R I
I went shopping! I ticked a top of my wishlist and even picked one up I didn't expect to! Will do a post with the picture too, but I will leave you a hint, there both from Bardot, which I'm really loving this season!

T H R E E - S A R A  &  T O R I

Mothers day was Sunday and we spent the day with the family. With our dads side of the family we had a lovely family brunch with more food than you could imagine, soon after we left for a family lunch with our mums family at a Chinese restaraunt followed with some drinks. Overall it was a really lovely family day.

F O U R - T O R I

Following what appears to be a recurring theme,  I watched finding Nemo on Saturday night and was emotionally reattached to one of my old favorites! Nemo, Marlin, Dory and Bruce will forever have a place in my heart and I was shocked to find out Ellen was the voice of Dory, making my favorite character even better! The countdown for Finding Dory begins.

F I V E - S A R A
I am not a person who usually listens to music non-stop, but at the moment I am really obsessed by a few songs and listening to them on repeat! I really love, Justin Timberlake's  Mirrors, Passengers Let her go, Pinks' just give me a reason and Paramores' Still into you I have a playlist of those songs always on repeat!

S I X - T O R I

I cleaned my room and reorganized my wardrobe, and for the short time it lasts, I am really enjoying being able to find what I'm looking for. Maybe I'll take my inspiration and re-organize the make up, than again, maybe not! P.s I wish that my wardrobe actually looked like that.

We'd love to hear more about your weeks to! And happy mothers day to all you lovely mums out there!

Much love

Weekly Update #1

Ladies and gents

We are proud to announce that The Polished Edge has been up and active for a full week and what a week it's been! Here is a quick post rounding up of the top 8 things that happened this week.

O N E - S A R A

As I've told you told you about a million times, I entered Westfield Selfies competition to win a trip to Paris. Sadly I didn't win, Viona Agung won - lucky her. The following was posted on the Westfield Sydney Facebook page:

"Congratulations to Viona Agung who will be off to Paris thanks to her National Prize winning Selfie entry at Mt Druitt.

Our National draw judges, Alyce Cowell, Madelin Tomelty and Donny Galella praised Viona for her fashion bravery embracing 4 key winter trends at once – Lace, florals, metallics and the pointy pump.

Congratulations Viona, we hope you enjoy your trip!"

It's sad that I didn't win, but I'm so happy that such a deserving entry won, congratulations! Luckily they will

T W O - T O R I

At the beginning of the week I re-watched (for like the tenth time) She's The Man. No matter how many times I see this movie it never gets old. Amanda Bines is absolutely hilarious. She has the best comic timing and with Channing Tatum oozing sexy it is the perfect movie to watch on a rainy day.

T H R E E - S A R A

Back to school! What a pain! I don't hate school but I do like being able to lounge around and do a whole lot of nothing. We went back on Tuesday but it feels like we've been back for weeks. On the plus side though, we have exactly eight weeks till the next holidays. Not like I'm counting or anything!

This term they've launched a new thing where ever student needs an iPad to assist with learning. At first I thought it would be a great idea because it meant that all I'd need to carry around would be an exercise book and the iPad. In a practical sense, that sounds like a good idea right? Yes. But for some stupid reason the school wants us to download apps to use in conjunction with our text books. So now we are carrying all our textbooks, exercise books and an iPad. What the hell!

F O U R - T O R I

On Tuesday night I went out to dinner with my mum and a few of her friends. We went to this place in Castle Hill called Red Spoon Thai. It is absolutely delicious! Everything on their menu is so yummy especially their crab spring rolls and the garlic stir fry.

If you're ever in the area I highly recommend you check the place out. As well as beautiful and delicious food they have decorated the place so wonderfully that you feel like you're in a totally different country. The staff are so friendly and for the quality of food, the price you pay is reasonable. I give it four Tori thumbs up.

F I V E - S A R A

I got bangs! After weeks of sleepless nights (well maybe only a few minutes) I decided to get my hair cut. I think that I look a bit like Barbie but although people tell me I don't, I can't get it out of my head! I'll blog about it later in the week or two to show you all how it went. I really like it!

S I X - T O R I

On Friday night I was lucky enough to go to dinner with my Mum, Dad and Sara. We went to a restaurant that is a mix between modern Australian and Italian dining, a beautiful little place called Allure in Dural. Somehow we are related to the owners but I wouldn't be able to tell you how or if technically we are related. It's an Italian thing, everyone you meet is an Uncle or an Aunt - crazy.

It's an elegant, yet casual dinning with beautiful and tasty dishes. I give it three Tori stars!

S E V E N - S A R A

I dragged my family all over Towers on Saturday searching for the perfect pair of black boots. I found a similar pair of boots to the one's above but in leather. They are Guess (of course). I will most definitely be posting more about them in a new post next week!

E I G H T - T O R I

As you'll get to know, we are big on family. On Sunday my brothers usually play in door soccer with their team, Jax Pack. They are currently sitting fourth on the leader board out of ten teams. They may not be the best team in the competition, but they play pretty well every few games. This week they won, 5 - 2! We are by far the loudest supporters. It's always great to support family any way you can.

We hope you had a wonderful week and are enjoying our blog!

Much love

Westfield Style Selfies Contest.

I recently entered a Westfield style selfies contest, the main price being a trip to Paris with $5000 spending money. The contest has 4 rounds for each Westfield centre, which all go into the running for the major prize, as well as getting a $100 Westfield voucher.

I won one of the fourth round, which puts me in the running with 160 other people for the trip. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed and hopping for some good news!

This is the photo I entered:

Outfit details coming soon!

Welcome!

Hi There and welcome to our blog!

We are two Sydney born sisters with two completely different styles. We decided that our passion for fashion is something we both have in common, so, we decided to start our own fashion blog.

Tori has an edgy look that brings feminine qualities and places them into a rock god style. She is kick ass chick with a sharp sense of self and wit that goes on for miles.

Sara is the older sister has a much more elegant and polished look. She is a self confessed shop-a-holic and Guess fanatic.

Together, they are edgy, yet polished hence the blog name, The Polished Edge!

We hope that all of you, however many of you there may be, enjoy our blog!
