Solo V1.0

Hey guys,

My very first solo blog post.

A little about me, a few moments with me and we'll be best friends. I'm loud and I'll tell it how it is, all the time, every time. But in all seriousness, I'm not the kind of girl who settles for anything less than me. No pearls, no poofy dresses and definitely no frilly lace! Don't get me wrong, I love clothes, hair, makeup and dressing up. It's just not always conventional.

I recently had a birthday and my lovely sister got me a booking with a top shop stylist. From my appointment I got this pretty cool outfit. This top is really great, I reckon that if I wanted to I could reverse it and wear the front at the back. Regardless, it's really comfortable and is a statement piece in any wardrobe. It's still in stock and can be bought here.

I'll be the first one to admit, I was a little worried about going for a lighter colored jean as I always thought that dark always meant slimming. How wrong I was! I wear these jeans all the time. They are so comfortable and although a little out of our comfort zone I feel so wonderful in them. The jeans hug my figure in all the right places and work with everything in my existing wardrobe. A little 80's and a little 90's, whatever you want to call it, they are a must-have! I also got these at TopShop (I love TopShop!) they are also still in stock and can be bought here.

This bag is so amazing! It's from Fossil and is nice, bright and adds a bit of personality to every outfit. Although they don't have this particular bag in stock (I got it on sale) you can buy a similar one by Fossil here.

A bracelet in a nude or natural colour I believe can enhance any outfit without over powering it. I am a firm believer of less is more but this is a good way to add more for less. I bought this from Diva almost four years ago and I can wear it with every trend and in any season. Some people like to load up on the small gold bracelets because they are small. I think it's a mistake; remember all outfits should be sealed with a KISS, keep it simple stupid.

I borrowed these earrings from my sister in law and are yet to give them back, they are just so cool! She got them for witchery on sale for $4. Bargain!

Verali heeled boots top this whole outfit off. My old ones broke a few weeks ago but I was more than happy to buy new ones. It's a winter and Autumn essential, they keep the outfit dressed and clean but doesn't look over done or too dressy. Perfect for every day wear. A must if you ask me! Can be purchased here.

We have A LOT of cats and sometimes they get in the way. At least they provide some entertainment. Zeppelin here can't seem to get enough of me!

Until next time,

Tori

Westfield Style Selfies Contest.

I recently entered a Westfield style selfies contest, the main price being a trip to Paris with $5000 spending money. The contest has 4 rounds for each Westfield centre, which all go into the running for the major prize, as well as getting a $100 Westfield voucher.

I won one of the fourth round, which puts me in the running with 160 other people for the trip. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed and hopping for some good news!

This is the photo I entered:

Outfit details coming soon!

Welcome!

Hi There and welcome to our blog!

We are two Sydney born sisters with two completely different styles. We decided that our passion for fashion is something we both have in common, so, we decided to start our own fashion blog.

Tori has an edgy look that brings feminine qualities and places them into a rock god style. She is kick ass chick with a sharp sense of self and wit that goes on for miles.

Sara is the older sister has a much more elegant and polished look. She is a self confessed shop-a-holic and Guess fanatic.

Together, they are edgy, yet polished hence the blog name, The Polished Edge!

We hope that all of you, however many of you there may be, enjoy our blog!
